Irina Rozovsky’s book One To Nothing got a whole bunch of accolades, including getting pinned on Alec Soth and Photo-eye’s Best of 2011 lists. It’s an unbiased look at Israel, letting go of the thoughts of violence and looking at what is there, simply. What we see is an Israel in limbo. We see decrepit buildings, but not what caused their demise. We see a gate that’s been built upon multiple times to time and time again stop trespassers, only to be outsmarted by a tourist in white sneakers. The Israel we see is quiet and most conflicts are merely interpersonal.

Irina Rozovsky was nice enough to send me a copy to check out. One To Nothing is on Rozovsky’s site, give it a look.
