i must add that i do not know much of many of the photographers i interview. there are often dull results. and then of course, there are the bright ones. it is through these interviews we do that we discover who the competent photographers really are. while some the rest become just a name in an archive, this is what we learn through the interview - something we maybe had not known otherwise. (in john battaglia’s case, i have learnt that his process is a relatively adept one for someone of his age)
